About Tandemn
Tandemn is an open-source, self-hosted planning and execution system for AI inference. Koi plans workload configuration and placement across heterogeneous GPU fleets, and the Tandemn execution engine connects those plans to existing serving and orchestration systems. Our team brings together researchers, systems engineers, and mathematicians working on the practical challenges of running AI workloads across cloud and on-premises infrastructure. The role
Own the product experience for a deeply technical infrastructure system. You will translate workload configuration, deployment planning, fleet state, and performance feedback into interfaces that help operators make informed decisions. We are looking for an experienced designer who has shipped complex software, can learn a technical domain in depth, and carries design work from user research through implementation with engineering.
Responsibilities
Lead research with infrastructure and ML platform users and turn their operational workflows into a clear product experience. Own information architecture, interaction design, prototypes, and implementation-ready specifications for workload configuration, deployment planning, fleet visibility, and troubleshooting. Design data visualizations that make capacity and performance useful to operators, accounting for units, system state, errors, and recovery. Build and maintain a coherent design system, work closely with front-end engineers through implementation, and validate the shipped experience with users. Bring the judgment to simplify a complex workflow while preserving the detail needed to make an informed infrastructure decision.
Qualifications
You have a strong portfolio of shipped products that demonstrates thoughtful research, clear interaction decisions, visual craft, and ownership from problem definition through implementation. We are looking for 5+ years of product design experience, including substantial work on enterprise software, developer tools, infrastructure products, or similarly complex interfaces. You are proficient in Figma and interactive prototyping, have built or maintained component libraries, and can show how a design held up after engineering implementation. Experience with operational dashboards, configuration flows, data visualization, accessibility, and responsive interfaces is especially relevant. You should be comfortable working directly with technical users and engineers, learning an unfamiliar domain, and explaining the tradeoffs behind your decisions. Include selected case studies and make your individual contribution clear.
